Tonight while I sat and played with my perfect little boy we were listening to Itunes on shuffle. I sat here and let the memories flood back to me of the past, of growing up, and of my life now. So after I laughed at the stupid memories, cried at the hurtful memories and treasured ones that mean the world to me I thought I would share with you a couple of songs that came on.
My Little Girl-Tim McGraw. This song brings back more than a memory. It brings back my childhood. I was the first born daughter(and the only daughter for 12 years!), I am my daddys wooden nickel and he is my super hero. He might have given me away almost two years ago but I will always be his little girl.
Anytime- Eve 6. I listened to this song on repeat my whole Junior and senior year. I can sing it word for word forward and backward. I listened to it, stereo blasting driving 80mph down the highway. Telling myself one day I'd take off and never look back the second that I could. Telling myself I'd never stay in this state, or go back to the ex boyfriend who left me for some slut ;) guess someone else had a better plan for me (:
Unholy Confessions- Avenged Sevenfold. I screamed this song on the way home from a basketball game that was in a different town. I was so mad at a guy and I ended up missing a stop sign. I went through a ditch and became friends with a metal pole. luckily I had the most amazing car ever and didn't have to tell my parents about it but had to explain the weird curved dent...
Mama's song- Carrie Underwood. My mom has quickly become my best friend. I hated her as a teenager, and couldn't imagine life without her now. It drives me crazy to go a day without talking to her, and I want her advice on everything. I hope to be half as amazing as she is. && I'm praying I'm on the path to make her proud.
Back To december- Taylor Swift. Some songs bring back pain, they bring back hurt and tears. But that hurt, that pain is the reason you can be strong. It's the reason you don't look back. This song brings back a memory that might be painful but that memory is also the reason my husband and I are together today and I'm not with a guy who... let me go, I guess. That's a nice way of putting it.
I Can Love You Like That- John Michael Montgomery. Ryan sang this song to me when I was 15 years old while mudding in his little red Dakota. and you wonder why I fell in love at such a young age ;) \
Someday We'll Know- Mandy Moore. All the questions I had the day I turned 18 (:
