My little boy is now a week over 7 months old. We have cloth diapered days here and there equaling up to be about a week, that's right- I suck at cloth diapering. I have an excuse however, when Xander was born we didn't know that we would be receiving a case of diapers once a month for a year from the hospital. 1 case was enough to last a month, so we haven't needed to use our cloth diapers.Well just a couple of months ago we found out that we needed to go into the hospital and pick up the rest of our diaper cases(8cases) because the hospital is being sued for giving out the diapers. So we picked up all 8 cases in different sizes, and brought them home and then heard one of our friends went shopping for diapers and got her diapers stolen right out of her cart after she bought them! So I told Ryan, that I wanted to exclusively cloth diaper and that I was going to give this friend our cases of diapers we got from the hospital. So now I don't have the excuse of using disposable diapers and I have to cloth diaper!

BumGenius is by far my favorite out of all of my cloth diapers, and I'm glad that I have 6 of them. When I grab a cloth Diaper, bumGenius is the one I will grab over any of them. I haven't had a leak or a blow out yet, they have been through my washer and dryer multiple times and are still in great shape, I do wish there colors were brighter, but I absolutely love them! When X got a bad diaper rash a few months ago I put him in BumGenius to keep him dry and happy and his diaper rash cleared up almost instantly! I was very impressed and still wish that from that moment I would have kept him in his cloth diapers!
All-in-one diapers are what I mostly have(BumGenius, Fuzzibunz, Bonnibuns, and BumCheeks) These are very simple diapers, you stuff them with the insert, put them on your baby, then when you change it and it's just wet you take it off shake out the insert into the wet bag and then throw the rest in your wet bag. When its dirty, you take it off, take it into the bathroom use the diaper sprayer to spray off the poo into the toilet, flush it then throw the diaper into your wet bag. When the wet bag is full you unzip it throw it in the wash and thats it. simple.
Fuzzibunz are the ones I bought thinking they would get me to LOVE cloth diapering. But, I don't like them. Its not that they suck either, because I haven't had a leak or a problem with them, but changing the size with the elastics is a pain with a son who doesn't stop growing. You have to change 6 parts in the elastics and then put it back, test it to make sure it fits and if it doesn't then re-do it all, then stuff it.
However, today we are exclusively cloth Diapering with Fuzzibunz, because I am determined to LOVE them. Especially now where X isn't gaining a ton of weight quickly and he is staying the same weight and size for longer periods of times. I really do like the looks of these diapers, they're very bright and slim, they look like he would be wearing a normal disposable, but they're so much cuter!
Pictured is X in a Fuzzibunz and the rest of my Fuzzibunz stash, the top two and the one he is wearing are double stuffed with minky inserts so they look fluffy the rest have just one minky insert!
(He doesnt have a rash, just our carpet is horrible!)
GDiapers are the closest to a disposable diaper that you can get. The inserts are disposable and biodegradable, I use these when we go out and when X is at grandmas or a babysitters because of how easy they are. I have 6 small so when we go out I stuff each of them with a disposable and when I change the diapers I throw out the insert put the cover in the diaper bag and then pull another already-stuffed diaper out and put it on him and go. They're quick and easy.
BumCheeks One Size Minky Nappies. I HATE them. If you go to long to change them(like 2hours) they soak completely through the cover and everything! Especially where by little boy is a heavy wetter! I would never use these out or at night, these would be an "all my other cloths diapers are being washed and I have no choice" diaper! On the plus side, they are very very soft!
Bonnibuns I haven't used yet, but I am excited to use them! They are cute! The bonnibuns look just like the BumGenius and I'm hoping they are just like them. X just barely grew into them!
The blueberry Flip Covers are also too big for X, so we will have to wait on those also.
Doopsy Are just like Bonnibuns and BumGenius, I only have one of them but I like it and if I had to use them all the time I would (:
